        2.) DEP #198-191, Map 7, parcels 42 & 43
A site visit was held on May 29, 2008.  NC, TF, JS, VA met with Rob Hoogs of Foresight Land Services.  DL went at a later date.

TF made a motion to approve the issuance of the Certificates of Compliance for both properties.  VA seconded the motion and the Commission voted to approve 7-0.

Notice of Intent, Mass Highway 270 Main St., Map 17 Parcel 57, capping of an inactive solid waste disposal area.  At the site visit on May 29, 2008 (attended by NC, TF, VA, JS, David Abbot and John DePaulo) TF requested that the site be re-delineated as the flags from a previous delineation had been removed.  NC opened the public hearing.  RFC made a motion to continue to June 19, 2008 at 7:30 pm.  JS seconded the motion.  The Commission voted to agree 7-0.

Other business:
·       Mr. Hoogs updated the Commission on the Shakespeare project.  He said that the detention pond has been mucked-out; the banks have been raked; the phragmites have been removed; the exposed soil has been seeded with wetland seed mix;  native wetland plants have been planted and there is shrubby vegetation on the slopes.  One very steep area was covered with rip rap with thirty percent of this left as soil and planted with vines.  This does not affect the detention pond function and adds stability.  Mr. Hoogs said that the drainage swale and detention pond is a beautiful and functioning system.
·       NC reminded the Commissioners of an All Boards meeting on June 18, 2008 at 7:00 pm.
·       Cliff Van Reed called NC regarding his property on West Dugway Rd. DL expressed concern with the existing pitch of the driveway.  He is concerned that when there is regular usage the contour of the driveway will change resulting in runoff that will create an unacceptable condition.
·       General discussion regarding applicability of community preservation funds as pertains to conservation issues in the Town of Lenox.
Minutes:
May 15, 2008 – RFC made a motion to approve the minutes and JS seconded the motion.     The Commission voted to approve 7-0.

Respectfully submitted,
Peggy Ammendola
